Video footage of the incident, which has been extensively circulated on social media, captures the moment when Meghan Brown was struck by the 7.5-foot-tall lobby door as she walked through the building.
What Went Down In The Court Hearing?
During the trial, the ex-JP Morgan analyst told the court, ¡°I do remember seeing glass, like, everywhere, in the lobby, near me." She also said that she could not recall the moment the door shattered on her but could remember ¡°being inside and I was on the floor. At that point there were people helping me¡±.
The incident resulted in a traumatic brain injury for her, which she informed the court had caused her to lose her job as a high-level analyst at JP Morgan. Additionally, she stated that she was unable to perform even basic daily activities as a result of her injuries.
¡°One of the biggest problems I have with my brain is that I can¡¯t trust it,¡± she said.
The Victim Meghan Brown Is Suffering From PTSD
Since the incident, Meghan Brown has been diagnosed with PTSD, and she reported during the trial that her memory has slowed, while her focus and vocabulary have also been affected. Although she attempted to return to JP Morgan after the incident, she found that her performance was not up to par. Consequently, she was ultimately dismissed by the company in 2021.
Her lawyer revealed, ¡°Eventually she was let go permanently and has not worked in that type of investment banking since. She keeps trying but just can¡¯t perform.¡±

The ruling in favor of Meghan Brown, aged 36, came after a three-week trial, during which the court was presented with the alarming CCTV footage of the incident.
