AIFF said Thursday that Indian football veteran Sunil Chhetri has decided to come out of retirement to assist the team during the next FIFA international window, which begins in March 2025.

Coach Manolo Marquez named Chhetri one of 26 players for the March FIFA international window, and he will make his comeback in Indian colours on March 25 against Bangladesh in the third round of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers.
