After spreading hate against Indian immigrants MAGA influencer seeks donations through app built by Indian-origin founders
Many on social media soon pointed out the irony in MAGA influencer Laura Loomer seeking donations to spread hate on Indian immigrants through Buy Me a Coffee, a platform built by immigrants from India.
Laura Loomer, the pro-Trump influencer who has caused what many see as a civil war within the MAGA movement by targeting Indian-origin CEOs and tech workers on H1B visas, has found herself in an awkward position after she sought donations through an app built by two Indian-origin brothers.
'I am banned, please support me'
"I¡¯m banned on Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal because these people want to strangle me and have been subjecting me to their caste system for YEARS," she said while urging supporters to donate to her through Buy Me a Coffee.
Big tech hates me. I¡¯m

Banned on Cash app, Venmo and PayPal because these people want to strangle me and have been subjecting me to their caste system for YEARS. I was one of their first victims and I¡¯m not going to let them victimize all of you either.

Buy Me a Coffee was co-founded by Indian-immigrants
But what she didn't know was that Buy Me a Coffee was co-founded by two London-based Indian-origin brothers - Jijo Sunny and Joseph Sunny. Buy Me a Coffee is an online platform that allows creators to accept one-time donations to support their work.

Jijo Sunny, one of the founders of Buy Me a Coffee, had a cheeky response to the entire episode.

How Loomer caused a rift within MAGA
Loomer, who claims to have worked with the Trump campaign, has unleashed quite a storm among MAGA supporters, with her posts disparaging Indian-origin immigrants who work in the US tech industry.
She started by attacking Sriram Krishnan, Trump¡¯s newly appointed Senior AI Advisor.
However, this soon blew up into a full-blown hate campaign against Indian-origin CEOs and tech workers in the country. Trump's right-hand man Elon Musk, who himself is an immigrant, and Vivek Ramaswamy, the son of Indian immigrants, soon jumped into the debate arguing why the US needs more foreign-born skilled tech workers.
Loomer, who refused to back down on her claims, has since doubled down and accused Musk of mocking and censoring her account.
