A father has been severely slammed by netizens for bungee jumping with his young daughter. The man plunged 60 metres - nearly 200 feet - with his daughter who he held tightly in his arms.?
The video of his jump shows the girl tightly wrapped in her daddy's arms. The father Mohd Redha Rozlan has since claimed that it was his daughter who had expressed a wish to be part of the jump.
Responding to criticism online, Rozlan said, "Chill guys, Mecca Mikaela was the one who wanted to do the jump with me. There was no forcing."
He also added that his daughter, Mecca enjoyed the jump and wanted another go at it. But it was him who was afraid. The video was shot in Kuala Kuba Bharu in the western Malaysian state of Selangor.?

However, there could be bad news for Rozlan. According to Free Malaysia Today, human rights lawyer Andrew Khoo told the news outlet, "Yes, action can be taken under the Child Act. This clearly breached safety requirements, too."

Even though nothing unfortunate happened, the father shouldn't have involved his daughter in the stunt. Whether she expressed a wish to take part or not, the responsibility was entirely his to ensure her safety. Because an extreme sport such as bungee jumping is definitely not designed for kids.?
