A hidden gem has surfaced in the busy metropolis of London, where expensive hotel rates are frequently the norm: a hotel that provides a comfortable stay for only ?42 per night.?
This post explores the specifics of this reasonably priced sanctuary, offering insights into the qualities that set it apart as a top choice for travellers on a tight budget.?
With rooms in the capital starting at just ?42 per night, Hub by Premier Inn, a little-known subsidiary of the superbrand, was recently named the best hotel chain in the UK.
The hotel chain claims that despite the rooms' diminutive size¡ªroughly 'half the size' of a typical Premier Inn¡ªthey are equipped with all the amenities one could want for a respectable night's sleep, including luxurious bathrooms and comfortable beds.
According to the website, Hub by Premier Inn provides reasonably priced, chic rooms in London and Edinburgh.
"Every room features an elegant touchscreen control panel for adjusting the temperature and lighting, free superfast Wi-Fi, stylish 40-inch smart TVs, powerful monsoon showers, and comfortable beds."
"We think you'll agree our rooms have all the space you need," the website continues.
"You can stow your luggage in the under-bed storage, hang your clothes behind your full-length mirror, and stretch out on your double bed to watch a movie on your 40" Smart TV."
Although there are no tea or coffee makers in the rooms, visitors are welcome to help themselves to complimentary hot beverages in the lobby.
The Hub hotels have a good rating of four and a half stars out of five on Tripadvisor, which is based on thousands of reviews.
The hotels are spread across multiple locations, such as Edinburgh's Haymarket and Royal Mile and London's Kings Cross, Shoreditch, Brick Lane, and Tower Bridge.
One happy visitor who stayed at the Covent Garden location gave the hotel the highest rating possible, writing: "As long as you know what you're getting, then this hotel has a lot going for it."
"It is undoubtedly a place where you go to sleep, not spend a lot of time waking up, but it is tidy, cosy, and well-equipped for a small space."
"Really enjoyed staying at The Hub, and it was much better than what I expected," said another. "The room was very cosy and well-kept."
"Everything I needed, including adequate lighting, was in the bathroom. The personnel was amiable and very approachable."
Naturally, rates vary, just like in most hotels, so those looking to stay for less than ?50 before Christmas will not be able to do so.?
However, if you're willing to be flexible with your dates, there are some ?42 rooms available in January for midweek stays.
