Who doesn't love to binge-watch some awesome shows through the weekend in the comfort of their homes? At least, we do! And right now, with the kind of thought-provoking shows Indian production houses are releasing, we cannot help but stay glued to our laptops all day long.
One such show that is making the headlines and keeping us busy these days is MX Original Series, Thinkistan, directed by?N Padmakumar (Paddy)?where he brings his real-life experiences to the reel life. It's fast-paced, mad, and extremely addictive. Here are five reasons why we love the show, and really can't wait to see what Season 2 has in store for us.
Thinkistan
Set in the 90's, Thinkistan is based on advertising agencies, and aptly depicts the harsh realities of the industry. Think mad deadlines, meetings, late-nights, crazy clients, tough bosses, youngsters hustling their way to the top, and much more. The series has left no stone unturned to show what it really means to hustle in a corporate setup and get work done.
Thinkistan
With hustle comes extensive competition, especially amongst peers. In fact, in Thinkistan, this competition to get recognised thrives between the two main characters, Hema (played by Shravan Reddy), who is the suave English copywriter in the company, and Amit (played by Naveen Kasturia), who is an old-fashioned Hindi junior copywriter from Bhopal, struggling to comprehend the ways of the corporate life. Thinkistan reflects on the existence of language politics. While Hema is preferred and loved by the management, Amit finds it arduous to push his ideas forward. The makers of the show have kept the competition real, and relatable. So when you watch the show, you might just relate to almost all the characters in the show.

Well, no matter how much we deny it, office love stories do exist, and in Thinkistan, you'll get to see various instances of it. Hema, for one, is engaged. But he is a hit in the company, and often gets distracted by all the women attention at work and outside.
Thinkistan
Right from Mandira Bedi essaying the role of a tough creative head to?Satyadip Misra?playing the role of an all-rounder copywriter Ashiq Jabeer, every character is so real. When you watch the show, you start relating these sketches with your real-life colleagues - the handsome new guy who is suddenly getting all the attention, the small-town underdog who is figuring things out for himself, and a know-it-all top boss who doesn't really make life easier, these characters are all their in our day-to-day lives too.
Thinkistan
90's saw the rise of Indian advertisements, and Thinkistan depicts it beautifully by taking us back to popular ads like Liril and Dhara that every 90's kid would relate to. Such fond memories!
So this weekend, leave everything aside, and binge-watch Thinkistan. Trust us, you won't be disappointed. The story-line is compelling, and it has all the drama you need to keep you hooked.
