Amaran, which hit the screens on October 31, has emerged as a massive commercial success and received rave reviews from all corners. The film remained the top choice of the Tamil audience on its second Sunday(November 10) and continued its dream run.
Sivakarthikeyan, one of Tamil cinema¡¯s biggest names, is going through a terrific phase on the work front. The self-made star recently scored a massive hit with Amaran, which hit the screens on Diwali. It collected nearly Rs 114 crore in the first week, taking the box office by storm.
The biographical drama continued its dream run on its second Sunday and raked in Rs 16 crore (nett) at the domestic box office. As per Sacnilk, the film total collection stands at Rs 152.75 crore.?

Amaran is likely to witness a slight drop at the box office today (November 11) as it¡¯s a Monday. It will also face stiff competition from Suriya¡¯s Kanguva when it hits the screens on November 14. Amaran, either way, has exceeded all expectations and proved to be a gamechanger for Sivakarthikeyan.

The blockbuster stars Sivakarthikeyan as the real-life hero and marks his first collaboration with Rajkumar Periasamy, who rose to fame with the Tamil drama Rangoon. Amaran features Sai Pallavi as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. The cast includes Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora, and Umair Ibn Lateef. Amaran is Sivakarthikeyan¡¯s second release of the year. He was last seen in the sci-fi drama Ayalaan. It hit the screens during Pongal and did reasonably well at the box office, collecting nearly Rs 96 crore worldwide. Ayalaan starred Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady and marked her first collaboration with SK. The cast included Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar and Yogi Babu.
