Badass Ravi Kumar Box Office Collection Day 2: Himesh Reshammiya is back in his Ravi Kumar avatar after almost 11 years in the 2014 film The Xpose's spin-off. The film opened in theatres on 7th February and strangely without any promotions done by him or his team. In a very rare instance, Badass Ravi Kumar opened to great numbers in theatres overpowering Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan's Loveyapa. Here's how much it earned on Day 2.
As per box office tracker Sacnilk, Badass Ravi Kumar earned Rs 2 crore on Day 2 (8th February) which is about a 27% dip from its Day 1 collection which was Rs 2.75 crore. Since it has not been released outside India so there's no overseas gross making its total collection reach Rs 5.5 crore. The film's domestic gross stands at Rs 5.5 crore and net at Rs 4.75 crore.
Other than Himesh, this comedy also stars Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Simona J, Saurabh Sachdeva, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Prashant Narayanan, KK Taharpuriya, Anil George, Mustafa Askari, Manish Wadhwa, Rajesh Sharma and Sunny Leone (extended cameo). Directed by Keith Gomes in his feature film debut, Badass Ravi Kumar is produced by Himesh Reshammiya Melodies.
Manoj Soni has cinematographed it under the choreography of Ganesh Acharya and editing by Rameshwar S. Bhagat.
A part of The Hindu's review read, ※For a film that sets expectations right at the beginning and is unapologetic in owning its cheesy romance and logic-defying stunts, Badass Ravi Kumar is definitely fun in parts. Despite the occasional nostalgia value and laugh-out-loud dialogues, meandering writing and the absence of a coherent screenplay stop Badass Ravi Kumar from fully working as a gloriously over-the-top masala watch with great rewatch value.§
