If you've been watching OTT for a while, you're certainly aware of shows and films that have won over audiences. The magnificent Paatal Lok was one of these shows that left audiences speechless. And canyou believe the show has clocked three years? Yes, you read that correctly! There has been a lot of talk about the programme for the past three blissful years and why not?!
Abhishek Banerjee's portrayal of the merciless villain Hathoda Tyagi was one of the film Paatal Lok's standout features. Tyagi killed his targets without even batting an eye. But what made him unique was his great affection for animals, especially dogs.
Sharing his photo with dogs, he said, ¡°Now this is swarglok. thankyou everyone for the non stop love ..hope it never stops .. 3 years of #paatallok.¡±
The protagonist of the programme is cynical cop Hathiram Chowdhary (Jaideep Ahlawat), who is given the task of looking into a high-profile crime. He is drawn into the murkier areas of the underworld as a result of becoming involved in the inquiry. The storyline of Paatal Lok, which is set in East Delhi, Delhi, is based on traditional ideas of Svarga, Dharti, and Paatal (heaven, earth, and hell), which are used as metaphors for the various classes of India and the four estates.
At the first Filmfare OTT awards, Paatal Lok was nominated for eight different categories and ended up taking home five prizes, including Best Actor (Jaideep Ahlawat), Best Series, Best Original Story, Best Screenplay, and Best Direction (Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy). The creators revealed that the second season will be conceptualised around May 2020.
While discussing one of his projects , he told Lallantop, ¡°It¡¯s written, but we¡¯re figuring out the next steps. Netflix was supposed to do it earlier, but they aren¡¯t doing it any more. The project had been green-lit, but a lot has changed since then on streaming. Lots of projects have stalled, like Paatal Lok season two¡¡±
Paatal Lok, which had a cast that includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Banerjee, Neeraj Kabi, Ishwak Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, Niharika Dutt, Mairembam Ronaldo Singh, Gul Panag, Rajesh Sharma, and Anindita Bose among others, was directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy.
