Angry Young Men is streaming on OTT platform Prime Video now. The documentary on the legendary screenwriting duo of Bollywood Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar feature many actors and other personalities sharing their experiences with Salim and Javed, as well as behind-the-scenes moments over the years. One of the most talked-about highlights of the episodes is Jaya Bachchan talking about her reservations about the movie Zanjeer.?

Jaya has recalled how she never wanted to do 'male-centric' Zanjeer. Wondering what changed her mind? Obviously, her charming co-star is Amitabh Bachchan. Jaya said she did Zanjeer because she thought she would get some quality time with Amitabh during the shoot of the film.?

Zanjeer was offered to Amitabh Bachchan after Dev Anand refused to do it because of the lack of songs in the script. Amitabh was offered the film during the time when he was getting back to back flops. The actor accepted the offer and played Inspector Vijay, one of his most memorable characters to date.?
