This week saw the release of Annapoorani, the culinary drama starring Nayanthara in the title role. The film, directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, was the 75th feature film that the actress has appeared in. Nayanthara portrayed a Tamil Brahmin girl who dreams of being the best corporate chef.
According to the most recent information, Nayanthara's Annapoorani has already sold its OTT rights, and it will launch on OTT in the upcoming months.
As per OTTplay, the film will be released on Zee5.
It will release on 29th December 2023.
As the title character Annapoorani, Nayanthara plays a member of a traditional Iyengar family from Srirangam, Tamil Nadu. Poorani wants to be a top corporate chef, but her strict family¡ªher father is a priest at the well-known Srirangam temple¡ªand their mandatory vegetarianism get in the way of her dreams. The main plot point of Annapoorani is how the protagonist accomplishes her aim.
A strong ensemble of actors, including Jai, Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Renuka, Karthik Kumar, Sachu, Suresh Chakravarthy, Poornima Ravi, and others in supporting parts, star in the culinary drama alongside Nayanthara. Songs and the project's original score were written by S Thaman. The photographer's director is Sathyan Sooryan. Editing was undertaken by Praveen Anthony.
As per OTTplay, reactions to the Nayanthara movie were largely good. However, because of the other major releases on December 1, it was unable to draw in viewers. On its first day of business, Annapoorani was able to earn ?60 lakh with 19.98% Tamil occupancy.
The actress will next be seen in Test, a film directed by Sashikanth, a former producer which also stars Siddharth and R Madhavan. Her first-look poster was just unveiled by the film's crew. The Jawan actress has been filming ¡®Mannangatti Since 1960¡¯, which is directed by Dude Vicky. In important roles, Yogi Babu, Devadarshini, Gouri Kishan, and Narendra Prasath will also star in the film.
