It seems Netflix¡¯s anime Moonrise is struggling with promotion, and the producer is now making a desperate plea for help. WIT Studio¡¯s Ryoma Kawamura best known for his work on the iconic Attack on Titan has publicly urged Netflix to give more visibility to Moonrise. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kawamura wrote in Japanese that the anime is ¡°buried deep,¡± implying it's not getting the attention it deserves.
Taking to X he wrote, ¡° "Please do your best to promote it. I can't do it on my own. Seriously please!!" He went on to add,? "It's still buried deep. Red N Company!! It's time to show the world your power!¡±
?Kawamura¡¯s move is a bold one, it's not easy to go public and plead with a streaming giant like Netflix to promote a show. Whether Netflix takes his plea seriously remains to be seen. But once Moonrise is released, the results will speak for themselves. The viewership numbers will ultimately reveal whether the anime captures the audience¡¯s attention or fades into obscurity.
Moonrise explores this subject by adapting Tou Ubukata's story and unfolding on a massive scale. Beautiful character conceptions by manga artist Hiromu Arakawa are featured in this brand-new sci-fi series, which was produced by WIT Studio and directed by Masashi Koizuka.
Moonrise examines a future in which humanity has set up a loosely structured government, with Sapientia, a worldwide artificial intelligence network, running everything.
Moonrise will be released on Netflix on 10th April 2025.?
