The science fiction show Dune: Prophecy is all set to release on OTT. The show is a prequel to the film Dune. It is based on Frank Herbert's novel of the same name. According to the recent announcement by the OTT platform, new episodes of the series will be released every Monday. The show will have six episodes in total.?
The show will revolve around the time before the events of Dune. It will be all about the story of two sisters who fight against the forces threatening humanity in the world.
The series will star actors like Tabu, Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, and Mark Strong, among others. The show has been developed by Diane Ademu-John and Alison Schapker.
It has been produced by Kevin J. Anderson with Cunning Hand, Legendary Television, and Annabelita Films. Music for the series has been given by Volker Bertelmann.?
The show was originally scheduled to start filming in 2020 in Budapest and Jordan, but its production began in 2022 under the working title Dune: The Sisterhood, with Renck confirming the start on Instagram. Last year in June, media reports suggested that production of the show was set to resume in Budapest amidst the WGA and SAG strikes due to the series' talent working under the UK-based union Equity. The filming for the series finally concluded by the end of 2023.
