In the grand HBO series, the Indian actress plays the role of?Sister Francesca in the show. Amid Indians going bonkers over Tabu's performance and role,?Emily Watson who also plays a pivotal role in the show has reportedly called her 'Julia Roberts of India'.

A journalist who attended the?The Dune panel at NYCC revealed that Emily Watson called Indian actress "Julia Roberts of India". This is perhaps the biggest compliment Tabu has got. The fact that Watson acknowledged her global appeal and talent only highlights her international recognition.?

About working in the show, Tabu had earlier said, "It has been an extraordinary experience playing Sister Francesca in Dune: Prophecy right from the moment I was approached for it, and I said yes without batting an eyelid. It’s an actor’s delight to be trusted by the creators with a character that is so interesting, intriguing, intelligent and emotionally powerful."

Excited for the audience to see it, Tabu also shared about the complexities of her role and said, "Needless to say, it was such an immersive process diving into the depths of her complexity. After the release of the trailer, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj who has worked with Tabu in movies like praised her by writing, "Filled with pride and joy for the pound of my heart, Tabu?jiska koi sani nahi." In response, Tabu said,?"I love you more than I can say".

Dune: Prophecy release date

Apart from Tabu and Emily Watson, Dune: Prophecy also stars Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina among others. The show will stream in India on?November 18 on Jio Cinema Premium.?
