Not very long ago, OTT platform Netflix debuted the documentary Einstein and the Bomb. Many people are praising the compelling project about Albert Einstein. Many claim that it fills in the gaps that Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer overlooked or to put it simply, gives in more details about Einstein¡¯s perspective.
One wrote, ¡°Now watching the Netflix Docudrama ¡®Einstein and the Bomb¡¯. The scene where Einstein is being denounced by a Nazi supported society for the preservation of ¡®Pure Science¡¯ has rhetoric oddly reminiscent of contemporary anti-vax movement.¡±
Another added, ¡°Just watched Einstein and the bomb on Netflix. It¡¯s a movie from a point of view, but it is was brilliant.¡±
A third went on to add, ¡°I just watched Oppenheimer and am watching Einstein And The Bomb right now. He wasn¡¯t just a genius, he was compassionate and empathetic. I believe this is what Poilievre is doing, picking up human flotsam and organizing them around himself.¡±
Aidan McArdle plays Albert Einstein in the primary role. McArdle has experience playing the same character in Einstein's Big Idea as per Collider. In Ella Enchanted, he portrayed Slannen, an elf, and in The Duchess, he portrayed Richard Sheridan. The remaining supporting cast members are James Musgrave, who is best known for his role in The King's Man; Andrew Havill, who is well-known for playing Robert Fellowes in The Crown; Simon Markey, who made an appearance in Black Mirror; Rachel Barry, Helena Westerman, Leo Ashizawa, Jay Lewis Mitchell, and Simon Haines.
Einstein and the Bomb is a dramatized documentary that combines cast depictions of historical documents with archival material. The relationship between Adolf Hitler and the scientist is examined, along with the events that gave rise to his suspicions that Nazi Germany was working on an atomic weapon. Einstein was sufficiently persuaded that action was necessary because of his concern about the German dictator's potential to wield such a terrible and destructive weapon. But sending a letter to American President Franklin D. Roosevelt started an arms race that would permanently alter the nature of warfare.
The synopsis reads, ¡°Using archival footage and his own words, this docudrama chronicles what happened after the scientist fled Nazi Germany and dives into the mind of this tortured genius.¡±
