Lal Salaam was released in February of this year in theatres. The Tamil movie, which has Rajinikanth in an extended cameo role, is a sports action movie that revolves around cricket players from Murarbad. The story is about how, despite having religious differences, the players live happily. A major twist comes in the storyline when local politicians try to spark communal riots in the village of Murarbad to get benefits in the upcoming elections.
Lal Salaam is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, and the music of the movie is composed by A. R. Rahman. The movie is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah. Other than Rajinikanth's cameo role, there are actors like Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in crucial roles.
