When Shefali Shah gave a nod to be a part of the revered crime series Delhi Crime, she wouldn¡¯t have imagined the heights that it would achieve.
Back in 2019, Indiatimes got an opportunity to watch an exclusive premier of the first episode of Delhi Crime season one before its official release. It wasn¡¯t just that - we got to watch it along with Shefali and director Richie Mehta.
I still vividly remember the silence that prevailed after the episode was concluded. The room was palpitating with rage as everyone was invested in the Nirbhaya case and the wounds still felt afresh. However, one opinion was common - the show would hook the country and strike a chord with everyone.
After earning praises from critics and fans, Shefali Shah has managed to make a mark globally and rightly so!
Now, she is getting accolades for the show on an international level. The hard-hitting cop drama has fetched Shefali, who portrayed the role of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, the Best Actress Award at the Police Award Arts Festival Premio Apoxiomeno for the presentation of cops and the police force in art and cinema for Delhi Crime S1. Director Richie Mehta has bagged the trophy for Best Director.?
