The appearance of actor Gulshan Devaiah in the upcoming Netflix series "Guns and Gulaabs" was heavily influenced by Sanjay Dutt's appearance in the 1990s!
"The team thought about what better way to capture the 90s than that look. It was actually Gulshan who suggested this idea and was quite keen to carry that look too. He made it seem very natural."
Raj and DK are the creators and directors of the comedy-crime-thriller television series Guns and Gulaabs. It is based on the violent and criminal 1990s. Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Gulshan Devaiah, and TJ Bhanu are the series' leading actors.
Presently, Gulshan is in London filming "Ulajh," a movie that also features Jahnvi Kapoor and Rohan Mathew. The film, which is based on the Indian Foreign Service, is directed by Sudhanshu Saria, a national-award winner.
The "Guns and Gulaabs" series, which takes its cue from the "Misfits of the World," combines crime fiction with the wistful romantic stories of the 1990s. It tells the tale of love and innocence merging with humour and romance while taking place in the violent and crime-ridden 90s.
The performers were seen wearing 90s-inspired attire and hairdo in the first look for the series, which was presented in March of this year. Dulquer Salmaan portrays a charming mobster who falls in love with an innocent girl, while Rajkummar Rao plays a small-time criminal who gets caught up in a massive problem. While Gulshan Devaiah portrays a vicious police officer who is after the crooks, Adarsh Gourav plays a young journalist who is on a mission to uncover the truth. TJ Bhanu portrays Rajkummar Rao's character's devoted friend and sidekick.
Guns and Gulaabs is predicted to be a series that viewers will want to binge watch till the very end. Fans can't wait to watch the show and experience Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salmaan's charm as they share the screen for the first time.
The show will release on Netflix on?August 18, 2023.
