House Of The Dragon Ep 8: Perfect Send-Off To Viserys Targaryen - Best Father & An Honorable King
Ever since the critics teased us about Episode 8, fans have been on the edge of their seats. After literally counting hours, we were presented with the latest episode of House Of The Dragon today morning and the one thing that we all would agree upon is that it is the absolute best tribute and a perfect send-off to King Viserys Targaryen.?
Life came full circle for the beloved character played by Paddy Considine.?
We began with hating him for pushing his wife Aemma towards her end when he chose his unborn child over her. However, his redemption in episode 8 when he stepped up one last time for his daughter Princess Rhaenyra solidified our love for him ten-fold.??
King Viserys might not have battled wars but he kept his honor and proved to be the best father and King while ruling with utmost sincerity and honesty towards his subjects.?
Without getting into the details (we know how much you crib about spoilers), Viserys wanted his entire family to band together and love each other as much as he loved them all.?
However, when power comes into the picture, even the deepest bonds are severed.?
After episode 8, House Of The Dragon will turn gory as the battle for the Iron Throne will pick up speed. The peaceful days of Viserys’ ruling will be behind us and soon be forgotten as the Hightowers and the Targaryens will lock horns to claim the throne. Dance of the Dragons or the civil war will see destruction and unfolding of many shocking events.
However, that’s a worry for next week. This week is only dedicated to Paddy Considine and his character King Viserys. All the loyal fans have only one thing to say - Paddy should get the Emmy and every other award possible next year for his phenomenal portrayal. Twitter is already buzzing with so many emotions.
