IMDb top movies and shows of 2024: The Indian entertainment industry has both consumed and produced some of the finest content this year. As much as the footfalls increased in theatres, the number of OTT users also multiplied massively. IMDb has now dropped its list of the most popular movies and web series that India talked about in 2024 and we all will agree.
For the uninitiated, the data is collected from all the movies and web series released in India between January 1 and November 25 this year. These were consistently the most popular among IMDb customers determined by the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide. IMDb＊s Most Popular Movies of 2024
This list has seven Hindi films followed by one each in Telugu (Kalki 2898-AD), Tamil (Maharaja), and Malayalam (Manjummel Boys). It also includes three highly-anticipated sequels - Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Singham Again. Another anecdote is that Deepika Padukone has been part of three movies on this year＊s list: Fighter, Kalki 2898-AD, and Singham Again and was also ranked No. 2 in the IMDb Most Popular Indian Stars of 2024 list.

Looking at some pointers under this section, Raghav Juyal has become the only actor whose work is featured in both the most popular movies and web series lists (Kill and Gyaarah Gyaarah). Talking about the OTT platform that made it to the list then it features five subscription-based services including three titles each from Netflix and Prime Video, two from JioCinema, and one each from Disney+ Hotstar and Zee5. To also mention, The Great Indian Kapil Show is the first non-fiction series to rank in an IMDb year-end list ever.
