The makers of Kondal have confirmed that Netflix has acquired the film's digital rights. The OTT release date has not been confirmed by any official yet, but it is sure that after its usual 40-day theatrical run, the film will soon have its OTT debut on Netflix. Plot?

Kondal is all about the life of a protagonist, Manuel. The film is set in a seaside area. Manuel is shown returning from the Gulf to get some purpose in life. The story of Kondal progresses and takes a drastic turn when Manuel gets in a major conflict with powerful people. The film also features a specially constructed 100-foot boat built in Kureepuzha, Kollam.

The film's shooting was done at sea for almost 70 days. The reason for the seaside shoot was to capture intense water sequences.

Weekend Blockbusters has produced Kondal. The Malayalam film has been directed by Ajit Mampally.
