Maharaja narrates the story of a father who has lost his wife in an accident when a truck rams into a house. Maharaja makes sure that his daughter gets all the love and even starts worshipping the dustbin that he named Lakshmi.?
His life however takes a turn when three men enter his house and steal the dustin away - not the jewelry, not the cash, but Lakshi is now missing. He goes to the Police station to file a complaint. Initially, the police dismisses him. Why would anyone file a complaint about a stolen dustbin. However, when he offers Rs 7 lakhs in reward, the Police starts the investigation. The Police creates a replica of the dustbin and decide to get the reward. As they investigate the case, they suspect he is hiding something deeper.?
Later, it is revealed that his daughter Jyothi was sexually assaulted by Selvam and his accomplices on the night of the incident.?During the investigation, the Police found out that Selvam (Anurag Kashyap) and Sabari (Vinod Sagar) used to commit crimes such as robbery, molestation, and rape. However, they couldn't find the real perpetrators. Meanwhile, Maharaja had traced down Dhana, one of the perpetrators and killed him. The Police ask Nallasivam (Singampuli) to pretend to be the thief and face Maharaja. As he starts narrating the fake story, Maharaja realises he is the one who assaulted his daughter.?
