Renowned singer Mohit Chauhan has made his OTT debut in the much-anticipated Netflix film "Amar Singh Chamkila," starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra.
While Chauhan has previously appeared in music videos and a few movies, his cameo in this film adds a new dimension to his screen presence.
The news of Chauhan's appearance in the film was confirmed by the platform upon the release of the music video for the song "Baaja."
In the video, which premiered on YouTube, Chauhan makes a special appearance as a local Punjabi singer, donning attire reminiscent of the 1980s, complete with a black turban.
Though his role is limited to the song sequences, Chauhan also lends his vocals to another track, "Ishq Mitaye."

The film premiered amid much fanfare in Mumbai, with stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Kartik Aaryan, and Triptii Dimri gracing the event.
Earlier in the week, a special screening was organised for selected fans, and director Imtiaz Ali received a standing ovation for his portrayal of the iconic Punjabi vocalist.
"Amar Singh Chamkila" chronicles the life of Chamkila, who met a tragic end at the age of 27. Diljit Dosanjh, who portrays Chamkila in the film, revealed the challenges of emulating the singer's unique vocal style during a conversation with Film Companion. Dosanjh acknowledged the difficulty of replicating Chamkila's iconic songs, emphasizing the support received from AR Rahman's team in the process.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, "Amar Singh Chamkila" marks the first collaboration between Ali and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is set to release on the OTT platform on April 12, promising an intriguing portrayal of the legendary Punjabi artist's life and legacy.
