At his recent UK concert, he introduced his family to the world. While we all have seen the video of his mother who cried tears of happiness as he hugged her and also introduced his sister to the world, did you know his father also attended the concert. "Thank you, dad. I love you," he said revealing he has never said this to him before. He also revealed that his father is a huge fan of Punjab's iconic singer Kuldeep Manak.?
Many of you wouldn't know that Diljit, a name that is now popular worldwide, comes from a humble background. He was born into a Sikh family in 1984 in the village of Dosanjh Kalan in Phillaur tehsil, Jalandhar district, Punjab. His father Balbir Singh worked as a bus driver in Punjab roadways. At one point in time, he drew a salary of Rs 5000 a month. His mother, Sukhwinder Kaur, is a homemaker.?
The Lover singer in an old interview had revealed, "Talking about his family and why he never talks about them, he had once said, "I don¡¯t want my family to be targeted with derogatory comments in case something bad happens. I want to keep them safe from trolls and media judgments. If I ever choose the wrong film or song, I don¡¯t want my family to suffer because of that."
