Diljit Dosanjh's?Dil-Luminati Tour 2024 is finally coming to India after making waves in countries like Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand among others. Hwoever, the prices of the concert tickets have left the fans in shock, who are now saying that they will enjoy the concert while at home. An influencer shared her thoughts on the price of concert tickets that nearly costs Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000, and everyone agrees with her. Some even said that the Punjabi singer was exploiting Indians.?
In her video, influencer Saumya Sahni stated that many of Diljit Dosanjh's fans are unemployed and don't have the money to afford these tickets. Furthermore, she pointed out that the singer himself comes from a humble background. "An Indian artiste has no right to charge Rs 20-25 thousand for a concert when he is performing in six cities. He can play three sets. Because your core audience has no money, no employment, and very limited means of entertainment. There are very few artistes who are able to perform for this country in their language. And after that a middle-class person has no access to that artist," she said.?
Reacting to her video, fans said, "He is going to realise this when he¡¯s singing and nobody sings back." A second user commented, "I attended Diljit¡¯s Born to Shine concert in December 2022 in Mumbai and paid Rs 3.5k for a fanpit ticket. This year, fanpit started at Rs 10,000 and shot up to Rs 20,000 in seconds lol.?I understand that was just after covid and Diljit's fandom has definitely increased since then, but an almost 200% to 500% rise in ticket prices in India is unjustifiable," said another one.
"Being a middle class person never expected Diljeet to be so drowned in fame and money lust," said another user. "This is actually quite a fair assessment. Nirvana as a band always ensured their ticket prices remained extremely low so that their ACTUAL fans could attend the concert and not just people who could afford it," one user pointed out.?
For the unversed, the tickets are selling in black for more than Rs 40,000.?
