Recently, the trailer for Shantaram was released. The 12-episode series based on the novel Shantaram seems to have a fantastical plot.?
Shantaram?follows fugitive Lin Ford as she attempts to elude capture in lively, chaotic Bombay in the 1980s.
Bombay is described by Lin as the place where everyone started again. As soon as he arrives in Bombay, he helps the less fortunate, which kicks off his quest for redemption. Meanwhile, Antonia Desplat's portrayal of Karla, his love interest, is also shown to us. There's something enigmatic about her personality.
The tale of Shantaram portrays slums as the main hero in the movie, although slums are not characteristic of India as a whole, contrary to what we have typically seen in movies.?The trailer gave us very Slumdog millionaire vibes, it would have been great if the creator could take a spin on the novel and added a little bit more of India. That being said, check out the trailer below.
