The Indo-Canadian director of To Kill A Tiger, Nisha Pahuja, took her documentary feature film to the Oscar nominations for 2024, and now it's been nominated in its category. The film tells the horrifying story of a family from Jharkhand who is determined to hold those accountable for a sexual attack on a thirteen-year-old daughter accountable.
The film will be officially distributed by Netflix.

Priyanka has been an unwavering supporter of the film following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022, attracted by its poignant depiction of a father¡¯s valiant fight to win justice for his daughter.¡±
In October 2023, To Kill a Tiger made its theatrical debut in New York's Film Forum before moving to other major cities. Rupi Kaur, Atul Gawande, Andy Cohen, Anita Lee, Andrew Dragoumis, Shivani Rawat, Anita Bhatia, Niraj Bhatia, and Deepa Mehta are a few more executive producers.??
