After a hilarious announcement promo video, trailer of Vicky Kaushal’s most quirky film till date is finally out. Govinda Naam Hai Mera, directed by Shashank of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Dhadak fame, is a masala entertainer that is a romantic comedy mixed with a whodunit murder angle.

According to the film’s official synopsis, it is the story of Govinda Waghmare, who is small-time junior background dancer. Life is not going great for this boy next door as he owns a huge amount of money in debt and his house is at stake. To make matters worse, his wife Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar) is having an affair and also physically abuses him. The only silver lining in Govinda's life is his girlfriend Suku (Kiara Advani), with whom he loves to dance in the Mumbai rains.

Apart from the trio, the film also stars Dayanand Shetty aka our beloved darwaza tofu Daya from hit TV show CID. Ever since the trailer dropped, fans have been raving about it on the internet.?
