Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh Khan, recently opened out about his first directing experience in an interview. A six-episode series called "Stardom" is slated to be directed by the aspiring director and released on a streaming platform. He provided insights into his experience as a filmmaker, even if he withheld numerous facts about the series. He also discussed his collaborations with dad Shah Rukh Khan.?
He said as per GQ, ¡°It¡¯s always a pleasure and a learning experience. People talk about his work ethic, but experiencing it first-hand was really exciting. He has a wealth of knowledge, which makes my job easier.¡±
He went on to add, ¡°Some things that would take me some time to wrap my head around were seamless for him. Our brand is edgy, so he¡¯s around to keep some semblance of sanity and respectability, otherwise, there could be too much madness. Because we are an age-agnostic brand, I think we have an interesting balance: I have a more contemporary way of thinking; my father brings a dose of maturity into it.¡±
He also said,?¡°They¡¯re both creatively stimulating in different ways. As the creative director of the brand, I shoot the ads, as well as oversee the photoshoots. I¡¯m very involved creatively, but not as much when it comes to the logistics. On the other hand, as a director I have to look into every detail, every shot and every angle.¡±
In 2023, a report published on Bollywood Hungama stated that Mona Singh would have a major role in the series, while Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Bobby Deol are slated to make brief appearances.
But the most recent addition to the group is actor Nishant Kkhanduja, best known for "Fighter." He talked about his collaborations with Aryan Khan.
"Aryan Khan exactly knows how to explain scenes and hence makes the work much easier. His vocabulary is too good. And that¡¯s what he uses to explain scenes. Rather than showing a reference video, he narrates using words that help an actor to imagine through and give their best foot,¡± Nishant said.
