It's the first time Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have come together for a film. Siddharth Anand's Fighter is running in theatres and has got a mixed response from the audience. The box office collection of the movie saw a big jump on Day 2. On the first day, itself it surpassed the total collection of Kangana's Tejas.?
If reports are to be believed Hrithik Roshan's salary for Fighter was Rs 50 crores. He plays the lead role of? Squadron leader Shamsher Patania aka Patty.?
On the other hand, it is reported that Deepika Padukone charged Rs 15 crores for the movie. This comes after she didn't take a single penny for her roles in 83 and Jawan. "I wanted to be a part of 83 because I wanted it to be an ode to women who stand behind their husbands' glory. I watched my mother do it. ibis was my homage to wives who make sacrifices to support their husbands' careers. Other than that, any special appearance for Shah Rukh Khan, I am there. Same with Rohit Shetty," the actress had revealed.
Anil Kapoor who plays a supporting role in the movie charged Rs 7 crores.?
The movie made on a reported budget of Rs 250 crores also stars Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi who took home Rs 2 crores and Rs 1 crores respectively.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor has praised the Siddharth Anand directorial. Taking to Instagram, he wrote, "Loved the film. Loved the spectacle. Loved everything about it. Top-notch filmmaking with great performances from everyone & heart tuggling emotions¡PS: My hrithik fanboy phase is clearly here to stay forever 24 years and counting!"
The film features Hrithik as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty, Deepika as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore aka Minni, and Anil as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh aka Rocky fighting for the country.
Produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, Fighter is hailed as a tribute to the valour, sacrifice and patriotism of the Indian armed forces.
