A small towner from Gwalior, Arun Kushwah never thought that he would make it to Bollywood one day. A risk-taker from the start, he dropped out from his BCA course and decided to pursue a Russian language course in JNU, Delhi in his early days.
Soon after, he bagged a job in Wipro in Mumbai in 2014. He found his true calling in acting in the era of Dubsmash. Just like his contemporaries, he started making his videos on his phone and laptop. In 2015, he made his Facebook page by the name of Chota Recharge.
It was his friend who recommended him for a job in TVF aka The Viral Fever. Parallely, his youtube channel whose name was changed to Chote Miyan started enjoying popularity. It was during his stint at TVF that his vlog Chote Miyan was turned into a series Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Gradually, Kushwah became an internet sensation and people started recognising him as he was a regular feature in many of TVF¡¯s videos.

One of his many popular videos remains to be a spoof of Sacred Games called Tinder Games, in which he enacted the role of Bunty.

His venture into the world of Bollywood was with Luka Chuppi in which he played Pankaj Tripathi¡¯s sidekick chotu. Arun Kushwah was also seen in Abhay Deol starrer Chopsticks. He recently made headlines when Abhishek Bachchan¡¯s film Dasvi released on Netflix. In this comic-caper, he played Bachchan¡¯s fellow inmate Ghanti aka Balram.
?Mostly, character artists like Arun Kushwah are reduced to just being a fun element? in the movies which is borderline humiliating and deprecating. However, Kushwah got to play the role of a street smart guy who is exceptional with mental maths. He is so impressive that even Ganga Ram Chaudhry (played by Jr Bachchan) is left awestruck. So much so that he calls him Bhagwan in the film.
?It¡¯s heartening to see that talent is finally being recognised by audiences and the industry alike. This is an era where acting capabilities hold precedence over looks, color and other immaterial traits.
At the moment, Kushwah is basking in the success of Dasvi and he couldn¡¯t be happier. With so much talent, Arun Kushwah is bound to go places as acceptance by audiences is a difficult feat to achieve and he has successfully crossed all roadblocks to be where he is while leaving people inspired in its wake.
