In Kalki 2898 AD, Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwatthama, an ally of the Kauravas and the son of the warrior and sage Dronacharya. Ashwatthama was cursed with immortality for trying to kill an unborn Parikshit. Since then, he has spent almost six thousand years wandering the planet.
Nearly 60% of the second part of Kalki 2898 AD has been completed. As per the film's production house, the team has finished filming a number of important scenes. Vyjayanti Films' head, C Ashwini Dutt said as per a tweet, "#Kalki2898AD part 2 has been completed almost 60%. Only major portions are left to shot. We are not decided on release date (sic)."
