In the recent past, calling out someone for slut-shaming might not have been a common practice. However, things have changed, and today's millennial women are bravely challenging societal attitudes that seek to shame them for embracing their sexual freedom.?
Historically, women have been stigmatized as "slut" for various reasons, such as dressing in a sexually appealing manner or engaging in sexual activities beyond what's deemed socially acceptable.
The act of slut-shaming a woman is often unjustified and viewed as harmless gossip. However, this behaviour can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and judgments about women, portraying them as promiscuous, greedy, or unkind.?
One instance that has left the internet in absolute disgust is remarks made on Celina Jaitley.?Umair Sandhu, who claims to be a film critic, has recently made a disturbing allegation against the actress.?
Needless to say, the tweet is highly offensive and disturbing.
To begin with, the information provided by Umair Sandhu is unsolicited and uninteresting to most people. Additionally, it's unfair that only the actress is targeted in this situation. If that's the case, the male actors involved should also be held accountable and criticized for their misuse of power and privileges.?
In her response, she shut down Sandhu's disrespectful comment and highlighted his need to seek medical help for his erectile dysfunction.?
The actress's tweet was bold and witty, and we appreciate her standing up for herself. We also urge TwitterSafety to take action against Sandhu's tweet.
In fact, some of them went as far as suggesting that the actress should take legal action against Umair Sandhu for defamation.?
This suggestion is particularly noteworthy since it highlights the severity of Sandhu's actions and the potential consequences of spreading baseless and harmful rumours.
On Monday, she announced she would be seen as the new gang leader in the upcoming ¡®MTV Roadies season. The show's makers unveiled the new promo of the ¡®Chehre¡¯ actor.
Shortly after the promo was out, late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput¡¯s sister Priyanka Singh took to her social media account to drop a cryptic note in Hindi.
This is wrong on so many grounds. Shameful.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka wrote a cryptic post in Hindi which reads, "Tum kyun darogi? Tum to vyashya thi, ho aur rahogi! Prashna ye hai ki tumhare upbhogta kon hai? Koi sattadhari hi ye himmat de sakta hai. WhoResponsible 4Delay InSSRCs is obvious (sic)."
"Why will you be afraid? You were, are, and will continue to be a prostitute. But the question here is, who are your consumers? Only some ruler can give this courage," she wrote in Hindi.
After a severe backlash, Priyanka backtracked and clarified that her tweet was not directed to anyone. However, the damage was already done.
Being in the limelight comes at a cost, as every move they make is scrutinized and judged, from their choice of friends to their attire to the number of people they dine with.?
But it's time to?rethink and put a lid on our unhinged remarks that may have clouded others' judgement and disregarded their hard work.?
