Amid Family's 'Foul Play' Claims, Sonali Phogat's 15-Year Old Daughter Seeks Justice For Her Mother

BJP Leader and Social Media Star Sonali Phogat's death has come as a shock to everyone who knew her.?Sonali Phogat reportedly died of a heart attack in Goa.

Shortly after Phogat's brother Rinku Dhaka reported the incident to the Anjuna Police in Goa, calling it a "pre-planned murder," Sonali's daughter made her statement.

"My mother deserves justice. The case requires proper investigation, and the culprits should get strict punishment."

Previously, Dhaka stated that he would disapprove of a post-mortem examination of Phogat unless an FIR was filed against the culprits.

He stated that the Goa Police is "very relaxed" about the killing of the politician-turned-social media influencer and refuse to cooperate with the victim's family.

"They have just kept the complaint but taken no legal action… Suppose the investigation is not being done properly here. In that case, we will do a fresh post-mortem at AIIMS, either in Delhi or Jaipur," Dhaka said while addressing reporters outside the Anjuma Police station.

He also said that Phogat's manager Sudir Sangwan and his assistant Sukhwinder Singh were involved in the murder,' claiming that the duo had been plotting it for many days.

Phogat's sister Raman has urged that the CBI investigate her sister's "mysterious death," while another sister Rupesh has claimed that she had a call from the politician on Monday, hours before her death.

"She said she wanted to talk over WhatsApp and that something fishy was going on. But she disconnected the call and did not pick up," Rupesh told ANI.

According to Phogat's family, she was in Goa for a shoot and was planning on returning home on Sunday.

After unconsciousness, she was rushed to St. Anthony's Hospital in Anjuna on Tuesday, where she was declared dead.?

The Goa Medical College and Hospital's morgue eventually received her body. The National Commission for Women also took cognizance of the matter, which was reported as an unnatural death by Goa Police on Tuesday.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant ordered a "thorough probe" into the incident earlier in the day, even though he stated preliminary reports from the medical community and the police indicated that Phogat's death was caused by cardiac arrest.

Sonali, who hailed from Haryana, contested the last Assembly election from Haryana from the Adampur constituency on a BJP ticket against Kuldeep Bishnoi. She also appeared in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ in 2020.?
