'It Wasn’t Even Like...' Abhay Deol Claims Anurag Kashyap Didn't Direct Him At All In Dev D

Abhay Deol and Anurag Kashyap have been grabbing headlines for their war of words. The duo had worked together on a cult film like 'Dev D.' However, it was learned much later that Abhay Deol and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap weren't on good terms while filming the movie.?

During a recent conversation with veteran actor Anupam Kher at his acting school, Abhay Deol was asked if he had collaborated with filmmakers, who did not know how to deal with actors.?

To this, Abhay responded by saying that it was Anurag Kashyap, who 'didn't direct him at all' when he was working on their 2009 film Dev D.Recently, Abhay Deol reacted to allegations made by Anurag Kashyap about his behaviour during the shoot of Dev D.?

Anurag claimed during an interview with HuffPost that Abhay, who is currently busy promoting his Netflix series Trial By Fire, had demanded 'staying in a five-star hotel' while the entire crew of Dev D stayed in Paharganj' as the movie had a 'very tight budget'.?

However, Abhay Deol called Dobaaraa director Anurag Kashyap 'a liar' and a 'toxic person.'?

Speaking of how Anurag lied about him, Abhay told Bollywood Hungama, “I had my heart on my sleeve, and all that is great – but you get taken advantage of, and then you get reactive. So, he (Anurag Kashyap) was a good lesson for me. Then I just avoided him, because I don’t need toxic people in my life. Life is too short, and there is so much more to explore. But he (Anurag) is definitely a liar and a toxic person. And I would warn people about him.”

However, during an interview with News18 Showsha, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he tried to reach out to Abhay and apologize to him.??
