Abhijeet Bhattacharya's recent statement has left everyone in shock. The superstar is known for humbleness - the man who is not only praised by his massive fan following but even by his contemporaries for his generous nature and humility. So much so, people not only call him the King of Bollywood but also the King of humbleness. Amid this, the singer who has lent his voice for many songs of his movies has made a rather shocking comment about him.?
"He (Shah Rukh Khan) is a very commercial person. He will use you, he will remove anyone from his path to success and flourishing career but it is very wrong for anyone to call him anti-nation."
The Chaand Taare singer was talking about controversies and personal differences between them when he said this. For context, in 2012, the Woh Ladki Jo singer had vowed to never work with Shah Rukh Khan again.?
The singer who has crooned for Shah Rukh Khan movies like Chalte Chalte, Yes Boss and Main Hoon Na among others, told TOI, "It is these songs that have immortalised Shah Rukh. I will never sing for him again."
At the India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards 2018,? he said that SRK became a superstar because of his voice. "I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him ¨C and?I?stopped singing for him ¨C he came down to?Lungi Dance."
The tiff between them began in 2007 when the singer stopped lending voice to SRK's movies. He was upset about not being given the due credit. First, it happened with Main Hoon Na, when his name in the credit roll appeared right at the end. Abhijeet was not happy about it. Then, the same happened in Om Shanti Om. Abhijeet said that his family was disappointed with it and that is when he put his foot down and decided to end their successful partnership.?
Years later, in an interview with India.com, he said, "I don¡¯t know who created this rift between me and him. There were a few music directors who had this agenda of separating us. Some used to think like 'if we get an SRK film someday, we won¡¯t let Abhijeet do playback for him'. That was their ambition. I know them today and they are my friends because that¡¯s how you live in the industry."
Furthermore, he hinted that he is now ready to work with Khan. "I have the same young voice. I am ready to sing. I don¡¯t know how will it suit SRK today. It¡¯s a miracle that I have the same quality of voice even today. I am blessed."
Has the feud between?Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Shah Rukh Khan ended? Or there's more to it. Only time will tell.?
