Multiple FIRs have been filed against the cast and the crew of Tandav for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus. They are also facing violent threats. Amid all this, the makers have failed to get relief from Supreme Court which has refused to grant the makers and actors of the Amazon Prime show protection from arrest.

The apex court turned down their petition on Wednesday?in which they had requested interim protection from arrest citing that "right to freedom of speech is not absolute".

'Priorities of the apex court!'

Commenting on Supreme Court's decision, Richa Chadha wrote, "Priorities of the apex court!"

'Let¡¯s arrest the whole cast and crew?'

Responding to the SC's decision, Konkona Sen Sharma wrote on Twitter, ¡°Almost all involved in the show have read the script and signed the contract! Let¡¯s arrest the whole cast and crew?¡±

'People playing murderers on screen might be tried for the same'

Gauahar Khan, who essays a prominent role in the show, ?retweeted a tweet that read, "Excellent. Next people playing murderers on screen might be tried for the same. After all, they read the script¡"?along with three 'face with monocle' emojis.

When Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub's lawyer argued that his client was just an actor under contract and that his view does not necessarily incline with that of the character he portrayed, Justice MR Shah said, "You accepted the contract after reading the script. You cannot hurt religious sentiments."

Here's how other people reacted to this.?

Ever after the makers have apologised and removed the controversial and objectionable scenes, the trouble for the makers and actors doesn't seem to end anytime soon.?
