It indeed takes a brave family to move into a house that inspired a horror movie. For the unversed, The Conjuring was based on a real-life incident and house where disturbing events were reported and real-life ghost-hunters actually performed exorcism. The house now has new owners and they claim that the ghosts are now haunting them.
Cory Heinzen and his wife Jennifer bought the Harrisville home which was built in 1736, after it was advertised on an online forum. On a Facebook post, they mentioned why they were so enticed by the house.
¡°So we did something yesterday, bought this little farmhouse with a crazy history to it. I think it was even made into a movie?¡±.
¡°We immediately fell in love with it,¡± Cory told the Sun Journal.

The new owner Cory has been a paranormal investigator himself, and he says the tarrying story of the house didn¡¯t deter him. He says weird things keep happening.
¡°We had doors opening, footsteps and knocks. I've had a hard time staying there by myself. I don't have the feeling of anything evil, (but) it's very busy. You can tell there's a lot of things going on in the house."
Cory¡¯s wife Jennifer says, ¡°This whole journey has been both scary - for many reasons other than paranormal - and exciting all at once. I love that we have the opportunity to share the home with others.¡±
