If the first Brahmastra film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, does well, director Ayan Mukerji intends to create his own Brahmastra world with several characters getting spin-offs.
In a recent interview, Ayan confirmed such plans.?Earlier, a report had claimed that a new character named "Dev" would make their debut in the second part of the movie franchise.
"The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part," revealed a source close to the development.
The source also claimed that Deepika has already completed filming for her part in Brahmastra One: Shiva. The filmmakers have already cast an actor to play Mahadev, but the details have not been unveiled yet.
When the trailer of 'Brahmastra' was unveiled, many fans claimed that they spotted Deepika in the 4k trailer of the film.
"All the characters are interlinked. ?It's Ayan's universe, deep-rooted in Indian mythology. The world is unlike anything one has seen before in world cinema," added the source.?
All three chapters of the trilogy will feature Shiva and Isha. In Brahmastra One, Shah Rukh Khan also makes a brief cameo. He will be seen with some unique superpowers and in a prolonged action sequence.
Fans praised Ayan for creating something new that the majority of the Indian audience had never experienced on the big screen.

The upcoming film has been in the limelight from the very day it was announced, and it took over four years to get the production work done on it. After much delay for various reasons, the movie is ready to hit the theatres on September 9 in 2D and 3D.?
