Actress-turned-politician Hema Malini surprised her fans by using the metro and then an auto-rickshaw for transportation during her recent visit to Mumbai.?
During her sighting at the airport, Hema Malini talked about her experience and encouraged more artists from the film industry to use the metro as means of transportation.
The actress, who is often called the 'Dream Girl' of Bollywood was spotted by the paparazzi at the airport and one of them asked her about her metro journey after she arrived at the Mumbai airport.?
Responding to the question, Hema said, "Mujhe bhi laga Mumbai ki nagrik hone ke naate metro ka use aap bhi kar sakte he. Saare kalakar ko bhi use karni chahiye... to avoid the traffic jam. I liked it. I enjoyed it."
She meant that as a citizen of Mumbai, she felt that people must use the metro. Other artists should also travel by metro to avoid traffic jam on the streets.
Many people reacted to the video of Hema Malini that has been doing rounds on social media platforms.
According to Hindustan Times, a user said, "Then Roz kyu nhi karti?" (Then why don't you travel everyday?).
¡°Imagine the problems public face everyday,¡± another commented while a third person also wrote, ¡°Such humble tone" and added a red heart emoji.
Hema Malini also took to Twitter to share how it takes around two hours by car to reach Dahisar amid the huge traffic in Mumbai.?
Hence, the actress used metro as means of travel to reach her destination much faster than as usual.?
"I must share with all of you my unique, wonderful experience. Drove 2 hours to reach Dahisar by car, so tiring! In the eve decided I would try the metro, and OMG! What a joy it was! True, we went thro tough times during the constr, but worth it! Clean, fast & ws in Juhu in 1/2 hr," Hema wrote on her social media handle.
