Revealing the same, Bhansali said that night he was in awe of his own movie. He said since he had watched the film at least 300 time already, he had no intentions to be in the theatre to re-watch it all over again. However, he said that the about 800 tickets were sold out within an hour, and later, he ended up watching the entire film with the audience. "The audience in Berlin clapped at my song Dholida. They enjoyed the music, humour and anger of my film. They clapped for eight minutes after the film was over. When I heard that standing ovation, I got my answer. It made all the pain and effort worth the while," he was quoted as saying.?
The movie had become top non-English movie to screen to Netflix globally at that time.
