Actor Shraddha Kapoor joined the brand Palmonas, a demi-fine jewelry brand as a co-founder in 2023, and it recently made its way to Shark Tank India. On Shark Tank India Season 4, it raised Rs 1.26 crore for a 1% equity position, obtaining funding from OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal and Emcure Pharmaceuticals executive director Namita Thapar. Although it did manage to get funds, Vineeta Singh called out the brand.?
Pallavi told the investors that the company expected to make Rs 35 crore this year. Following an examination of the financials, Namita made an offer of Rs 1.26 crore for a 1% equity position, subject to a 1% royalty on revenues until her investment was recouped.?
The brand's assertion that its items come with a lifetime warranty was then questioned by Kunal Bahl. The co-founders responded by explaining that although the products were depreciating assets, their policy permitted buyers to return items within the first six months and earn 50% of the order value. They provided 25% of the purchase price for returns made within six to twelve months, and beyond that, consumers may receive 15% of the purchase price as lifetime shop credit. This explanation did not convince Kunal, who noted, "But this is not a lifetime warranty."?
Vineeta Singh then went on to call out the founders and say, "But when the customers will get to know ki lifetime warranty ke naam pe unhe thugga gaya hai, toh thoda brand pe impact hoga. Kyunki agar main 3000 rupay ka kuch khareedungi aur in return mujhe Rs 450 ka gift voucher milega, toh uski toh koi value nahi hai. Kyunki aapke store main Rs 450 ka kuch hai hi nahi.¡±
