Actress-turned-travel vlogger Shenaz Treasury, who left fans hearts racing with her performance in the 2003 film Ishq Vishk has been diagnosed with Prosopagnosia, a condition that makes it difficult to remember people's faces.?
The shocking news has been confirmed by Shenaz Treasury herself through her Instagram account wherein she shared a some important details regarding the disease and said that she always felt ashamed for it.?
In another slide of her social media post, Sehnaz Treasury shared how one comes to know that he/she has prosopagnosia.?According to her post, a person having the disease will have the following signs and symptoms of face blindness/prosopagnosia -?
She further added, ˇ°You have difficulty recognising neighbours, friends, coworkers, clients, schoolmates. People you know expect you to recognise them. Failing to recognise someone might make you seem aloof. Many sufferers report losing friends and offending coworkers because they have failed to recognise them. This is me.ˇ±?
Shenaz also went on to reveal in her post that she even gets confused with characters in movies and on television. She said that she can't differentiate between character if they have the same height and build or hairstyle. ˇ°So now please understand that this is a real disorder and not me being aloof or snobbish,ˇ± Sehnaz said adding that it's a ˇ°real brain issue.ˇ±
On the work front, other than playing the glam girl in Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao's romantic comedy film Ishq Vishk, the actress has featured in films such as Umar, Aagey Se Right, Radio, Delhi Belly and Luv Ka The End.
Recently, Hollywood actor Brad Pitt claimed that he may have prosopagnosia as he finds it difficult to remember people after meeting them at parties. The 58-year-old actor even shared that he believes his condition may leave those he meets with a negative impression.?
