Christian Bale Says He Will Return As Batman, Only If Christopher Nolan Returns To Direct
Christian Bale has shared that he will return to play Batman only if ace Hollywood director Christopher Nolan helms the project.
Christian Bale has revealed that he would not mind returning to the big screen to reprise the role of the Caped Crusader - Batman if Christopher Nolan asked. The actor is all set to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the upcoming movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
He will be seen playing the character Gorr the God Butcher, who is the primary antagonist in the movie which also means he will be seen locking horns with Chris Hemsworth, who plays the God of Thunder.

Christian Bale, who featured in three movies - Nolan's critically-acclaimed Batman Trilogy -starting with Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), expressed that no other filmmaker has approached him to portray the popular DC comic book
In a recent interview, the actor was asked if makers has approached him for the role of Batman to which Christian Bale said, ¡°No, no, no. Nobody, nobody reaches out to me or they keep me like a mushroom, keep me in the dark and feed me s**t.¡±
He further revealed that he had a pact with Hollywood director Christopher Nolan. ¡°For me, that would be a matter of Chris Nolan, if he ever decided to do it again and if he chose to come my way again, then yeah, I would consider it because that was always our pact between each other is we would just stick to it. We said we would only ever make three. And then I said to myself, and I¡¯d only ever make it with Chris,¡± the Academy winning actor said.
"We said, 'Hey, look. Let's make three films, if we're lucky enough to get to do that. And then let's walk away. Let's not linger too long.' In my mind, it would be something if Chris Nolan ever said to himself, 'You know what, I've got another story to tell.' And if he wished to tell that story with me, I'd be in," the actor told ComicBook.com.
Christopher Nolan directed Batman triology, is among the most successful superhero franchises that earned nearly $2.5 billion at the box office worldwide.
Meanwhile, Christian Bale's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut film Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Natalie Portman, Chris Prat, Tessa Thompson, and others apart from himself and Chris Hemsworth. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on July 7, 2022.
