More than 30 people have died because of heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and as many as 4.5 lakh people have been displaced. The Telugu film fraternity has come together to help the victims by donating money for the relief work. Among those who have donated include RRR fame Jr NTR and actor Vishwak Sen as well as producers of Kalki 2898 AD.?
Taking to Twitter, the actor wrote that he was "deeply moved" by the disaster and hence has pledged to contribute "Rs 50 lakhs each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments."
Calling it a small step towards the rescuing those who are stuck and suffering due to heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, Indian actor, director, and screenwriter Vishwak Senwho works in Telugu cinema has pledged to donate "Rs?5 lakhs to the Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund to support the flood relief efforts in the state".
The production company behind Prabhas-Amitabh Bachchan-Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2989 AD has pledged to donate Rs 25 lakhs for the victims. "We at Vyjayanthi Movies are pledging to donate Rs 25,00,000 to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Relief Fund to support relief efforts following the recent heavy rainfall. This state has given us so much, and we feel it¡¯s our duty to give back during this challenging time," it announced on X.?
Indian director and screenwriter Trivikram Srinivas, best known for Mahesh Babu's?Guntur Kaaram, has donated Rs 50 lakhs for the relief work in Andhra Pradesh as well as Telangana.?
On the other side, producers S Radhakrishna and S Naga Vamsi have donated Rs 25 lakhs each hoping for faster recovery of people affected due to the floods.?
Meanwhile, Jr NTR will next be seeing?Devara Part 1, alongside?Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor. The movie is all set to be released on September 27. Set against the?coastal regions in India, the film will feature NTR in dual roles.
