Kiara Advani had a fulfilling year. She received a lot of praises for her movie Shershaah, in which she played Dimple. The actor won hearts for playing Vikram Batra's love interest in Shershaah.?
It took her a few years to find her place in the film industry, and now, she is basking in the success of all her recent films.?
For instance, a scene from the movie where Kabir (Shahid Kapoor) slaps Preeti (Kiara Advani) started several debates on glorifying violence.
More than two years after the movie's release, Kiara Advani was present at the Agenda AajTak 2021, where she spoke?about Kabir Singh.?
"What happened in the film was very wrong. We all realise it.'However, she also defended the movie by saying it was much more than just being about a 'slap'.
She said,?
"But a certain section of the audience felt that the film was only about the slap. They didn't see the repercussions. Nothing worked out for Kabir after it, and Preeti left him. He repented, and she gave it back to him when he came back. It breaks my heart that a lot of people focus on that one slap in the film."?
Reacting to the success, Kiara said,?
"People made those characters larger than life. Many of them saw it as a love story."?
On the work front, Kiara wrapped up another schedule Jug Jug Jiyo, in which she will star opposite Varun Dhawan. Raj Mehta's film also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, and Prajakta Koli.
