KTR linked to Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Naga Chaitanya’s divorce? Jr NTR, Nagarjuna and others react to claims

Telangana minister Konda Surekha, sparked a controversy by claiming Bharat Raksha Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao's involvement in Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. After the statement went viral, Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, Jr NTR and many more have reacted to it.? Although now she has apologised for what she said, people are still enraged and can’t digest the fact that a minister would make such ‘disgusting’ claims.?

What did Konda Surekha say?

A video went viral on social media on Tuesday, in which Konda Surekha accused KTR of interfering in the private lives of celebrities and being connected to drug-related scandals. Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's divorce was also discussed in the video, with the minister claiming that KTR was the reason behind it.

She had said, "Naga Chaitanya's divorce took place 100 per cent due to KTR. This is because to not demolish N Convention hall, you had to send Samantha to me. Nagarjuna had forced Samantha to go (to KTR) and they said that either you listen to us or give us a divorce. That is the reason why the divorce took place. The whole industry knows about it.”

Celebrities slam Konda Surekha’s disgusting remarks

Samantha herself took to her Instagram and shared a note in which she said that she hopes the minister understands the serious weight of her remarks given her position as a minister. She urges her to act responsibly and with consideration for other people's privacy. She went on to say that her divorce is a private matter and asked that she not make assumptions about it.

Naga Chaitanya also shared his reaction and wrote that whatever claim she made was? ridiculous and unacceptable.

?Naga Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna on the other hand said that she should not use the lives of film stars who stay away from politics to criticise their opponents.

?Jr NTR went on to add that doing what she did is actually a new low.?

Konda Surekha’s apology

?Konda Surekha made it clear in a string of tweets that her remarks were intended to challenge KTR's "belitting of women" rather than to offend anyone. She apologized if her comments had offended Samantha Prabhu and stated that they were not intended to be disparaging to her family.
