While in Bollywood the debate around nepotism never dies, and every year new star kids are launched in movies, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's son is quite different. Despite having easy access to fame, Pranav Mohanlal instead wants to lead a simple life and spends his time working on farmland in Spain, which is also not his own, in exchange for food and accommodation.?
He is doing this as part of?Work Away program in Spain. His mother Suchitra says that he values these kinds of experiences more than anything else - even the popularity that he will get after doing the film. Mohanlal's wife, furthermore, revealed that he keeps getting movie offers and scripts, which she reads but his son doesn't agree to doing films. "He follows what he believes in," she told Manorama Magazine.
Meanwhile, Suchitra is enjoying reading the scripts leaving the final choice to her son to decide which film or if at all any film he wants to do. Currently, taking care of goats and other animals, Pranav doesn't take much interest in these movie scripts, despite her mother wanting him to do at least two films a year.?"Although people, including his cousins, often say that Pranav only listens to me, I don¡¯t think that¡¯s entirely true," his mother said.
For the unversed, Pranav Mohanlal who is Mohanlal's only son made his acting debut when he was 13 years old. He appeared in Punarjani as a child artist and even won the Best Child Actor Kerala State Film Award. He then worked as an assistant director under Jeethu Joesph in 2015 working on films like Papanasam and The Life of Josutty.?
He played his first lead role in the 2018 movie Aadhi, which was the highest-grossing film of the year and made Pranav win the?SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actor. Not only did he impress everyone with his stellar acting skills, he also made his singing debut the son Gypsy Women, which he wrote as well. He was last seen in the 2022 movie?Hridayam. Indeed, Pranav Mohanlal is different from his contemporaries.?
