Police Complaint Against TikTok Star Faizal Siddiqui For Promoting Acid Attack In A Viral Video
Another TikTok star is in the hot waters again. A cyber complaint has been filed against Faizal Siddiqui, who is the brother of controversial TikTok influencer Amir Siddiqui, for promoting acid attacks on women in a video shared on the platform.
Faisal, who has 13.4 million followers on the video-sharing platform, has enacted acid attack as a jilted lover.
Advocate Ashutosh Dubey has also filed a complaint with Mumbai Police.
In the nine second video doing the rounds on social media, he says, "Usna tumhe chor diya jiska liya tumna Mujhe chora tha". Following this, he enacts a scene in which he throws acid at the woman. The face of the victim is then showed covered in scars.
Meanwhile, National Commission for Women (NCW) has demanded that action be taken against him.?

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal to take action against #FaizalSiddiqui for the video he posted that promotes a grievous crimes of #acidattack on social media using @TikTok_IN App. @CyberDost @MahaCyber1,¡± the official handle of the NCW tweeted, sharing a copy of the letter addressed to the Maharashtra Police.
"The Commission is concerned about the safety and security of women and is disturbed by the use of cyberspace to instigate crime against women. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, it is requested that immediate action shall be taken as per the Information Technology Act, 2000, against the miscreants and an action taken report be sent to the Commission by e-mail/fax," the letter reads.
