Actress Radhika Apte, who is known for doing bold scenes in films, is a fighter when it comes to living in her own terms. The diva, who was seen performing sex scenes with Adil Hussain in the movie Parched, has opened up about the time when she was told to go under the knife for her looks.?
According to an interview update, the actress has expressed that she isn't in favour of body augmentation or botox fillings to look a certain way.?
Mentioning that she wishes to age naturally, Radhika Apte said that she cannot wrap her head around the kind of surgeries people go through in the film industry.Being someone who didn¡¯t opt for even the basic transformations such as colouring her hair for 30 years, the actress expressed that she was also told to go under the knife.?
Speaking to Film Companion, Radhika said that when she started her career in the industry, ,she was told to get all kinds plastic surgeries, however, that only made her angrier.?
"I had that pressure before. When I was new, I was told to do lots of jobs on my body and face. First meeting I had, I was told to change my nose. Second meeting I had I was told to get a boob job.?
Then that continued, then I was told to do something to my legs, then something to my jaw, and something to refill somewhere here (points to her cheeks) then botox," the actress said further adding that it took her 30 years to just colour her hair.?
"I¡¯m not going to get even an injection. It just put me off. I never felt pressurised by it. In fact, I felt angrier." She also expressed that all of that helped her actually love herself and her body. "I love my body,¡± she added.
On the work front, Radhika Apte will be next feature in the ZEE5 movie titled Forensic.
